Three of our teachers recently presented at the Monash Children’s Hospital Grand Rounds, a forum showcasing clinical excellence, complex cases and specialised research. Katherine Lingard-Smith and Nic Snelleksz spoke about the partnership within the Healthy Koori Kids (HKK) clinic. This fortnightly clinic is grounded in trauma informed, child led practice, with teachers supporting students while medical staff meet with families. Jess Fitzsimons presented on our partnership with the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, highlighting the collaborative work to support families of children with complex medical needs to access appropriate education.
